About RPAC
Victorian Amateur Pole Artistry Championships (VAPAC), formally Regional Pole Artistry Championships (RPAC) is a Victorian amateur pole dancing competition showcasing the very best up and coming pole dancers from around Victoria.
With 35+ competitors in 5 categories ranging from juniors through to advanced pole dancers and doubles.
Competitors will be judged on their presentation, strength, pole skills, dance and overall stage presence. It’s not about who can stick the most tricks, it’s about being entertaining, having fun and enjoying your routine in front of a highly anticipated crowd.
With stall holders from across Australia, epic sponsors, world renowned judges, an incredibly talented MC, professional photographers and Videographers.
All proceeds are donated to The Rockit Foundation, supporting those suffering from mental illness and bringing awareness to suicide prevention.
VAPAC is held annually since 2014.

CATEGORIES EXPLAINED
JUNIOR
Open to Junior pole dancers.
(16 years old or younger at time of competition).
Can: do all tricks, safely.
Cant: wear heels, won
an amateur (social or
graded) competition.
BEGINNER
Absolute Beginner Pole Dancers
Can: do basic beginner tricks and spins, may include invert, layback, leg hang, jamilla, superman from floor.
Cant: Be an instructor, do aerial pole tricks such as inverts, superman, shoulder mounts from the floor or aerial, no jade spilts, allegra etc.
INTERMEDIATE
Can: aerial invert, shoulder mount from the floor, leg hangs, leg switches, laybacks, superman, ayesha, butterfly, jade splits etc
Cant: Be an instructors, no handsprings, shoulder mounts, no deadlifts or press ups, iron ×, over split tricks, janero etc..
ADVANCED
Can: aerial invert/shoulder mount, superman, handspring from floor, jade split, allegra, body switches, iron ×, brass monkey shapes, russian split etc. You can be a beginner or intermediate pole instructor.
Cant: No deadlifts, press ups, spatchcock, BoP, upright eagle, rainbow Marchenko etc. No graded amateur level competitors. No advanced/elite level instructors.
DOUBLES/GROUPS
2-5 pole dancers/dancers
Can: Do all tricks safely
Cant: Have won this category previously, cannot have won an amateur (social or graded), semi-professional or professional competition in this category.
application process
Applications open in 2026
Applications will go live on our website via a google form that will need to be filled out accompanied by a performer photo, video link* (unlisted YouTube video preferred) and proof of $20 entry fee* payment screenshot and uploaded alongside your application.
Applications will be judged by a hand picked panel of expert judges whom will watch all entries thoroughly and use the judging criteria for VAPAC to select 5-6 performers per category.
Once judging has been completed and compiled competitors will be announced via social media (Instagram and Facebook).
Once competitors are selected emails will be sent to all entrants with a verdict and competitors will be added to a Facebook group and announced on our socials.
* Please note it is YOUR responsibility to ensure your video works not the judging panel. If you submit a video that does not work your routine cannot be watched and therefore you will not be eligible for entry into VAPAC2026.
* Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are unsuccessful you will NOT be reimbursed.
JUDGING CRITERIA
SOLO POLE JUDGING GUIDELINES:
Each performer is eligible for a total of 50 points from each judge.
The judging criteria will consist of the following elements:
JUNIOR, BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED & OPEN REGIONAL
Presentation – (10 points) Costume, theme and interpretation of theme/music
Pole Skill – (15 points) Trick execution, strength, lines, flexibility and technique.
Dance – (15 points) Fluidity, Choreography, floor work and transitions.
Stage Presence – (10 points) Ability to engage the
audience, character and “X-Factor”
DOUBLES/GROUPS POLE JUDGING GUIDELINES:
Each performer is eligible for a total of 50 points from each judge.
The judging criteria will consist of the following elements:
Presentation – (10 points) Costume, theme and interpretation of theme/music
Pole Skill – (10 points) Trick execution involving base and flyer both on and off the pole, strength, lines, flexibility and technique.
Synchronisation - (10 points) performers synchronicity both on and off the pole.
Dance – (10 points) Fluidity, Choreography, floor-work and transitions.
Stage Presence – (10 points) Ability to engage the audience,
character and “X-Factor
important information
Our judges are looking for performers who can bring originality, creativity and diversity to the pole stage. Remember this is a pole ARTISTRY competition.
All performances must be a minimum of two and a
half (2.5) minutes and a maximum of three (3) minutes, with the exception of doubles/groups who have maximum four (4) minutes.
Pole are two (2) 38mm Brass Pussycat Poles, roughly 3.5m in height
– 1 static and 1 spin (doubles/groups can have either, with roughly 2.5- 3m separating the poles.
Props, including humans, may be used but need to be approved prior
to event.
Please refrain from using any "messy" props such as glitter, confetti and chalk.
